Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has appealed to his club to reduce his financial demands to complete his move to Inter Milan, English press reports said on Sunday.
According to The Sun, UEFA coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær was given a deadline until next Wednesday to complete his contract with Inter Milan.
If Lukaku failed to move to Inter Milan, he would return him to the squad, because the time would be too late for a replacement.
The 26-year-old has asked Manchester United officials to reduce the amount they are asking for the £80m it would give him, he said.
Inter Milan are hoping to complete the deal for £65 million, but it is about the club agreeing to give up the player for less than the amount they paid to Everton to buy his services two years ago, worth £75 million.
Inter made an initial offer of £54 million, rejected by United, with Lukaku training solo until a decision is reached on his departure.
